“I believe that society is a series of promises we make to each other; including the promise to provide excellent universal and publicly-funded child care.

I recognize that child care is fundamental to children's well-being, families' ability to thrive, and a robust economy. I acknowledge that our current child care system has been undervalued and underfunded, disproportionately harming Black, Indigenous, and other families of color, women providers, and low-income communities.

By signing this pledge, I commit to using these policy principles to guide all child care policy decisions throughout my campaign and, if elected, throughout my term in office.”
